More from Illa J off the upcoming Yancey Boys album. Song is called “R U Listenin’” featuring Guilty Simpson.
They’re on an award tour…in detroit.

Is that true? An album planned with Black Milk, Sean Price and Guilty Simpson together called Random Axe? If so, daaaaaaaaaaamn.
Shouts to Dean, JJ, and Havana. Havana, I’ma holla at you I got some stuff but dammit there’s a catch.
Go buy Ode To The Ghetto. Let it be the last thing you buy, you’ll need the rest for gas.
Props to 2dopeboyz because I heisted it from them. But I am type salty that I didn’t get this straight from Stones Throw. However it truly isn’t like I got the batphone in their headquarters. So ZS < priority. Womp. BTW, I got a no to the whole Guilty Gears idea. Womp womp. I thought it’d be a lil’ something because DAMN…this was a quiet ass release! Maybe I was in a cave or something but the promo for this was lacking. I think I saw something on DJ Low Key’s site about a release party for Ode…
On the strength, I hate getting stuff late. I want it when the other sites have it too. So a lot of times when these BS online marketing firms get around to getting me the material, it’s either one or two things: I already have it (because I got it direct or saw it someplace else) or I don’t want it.
Like all of these no name newbies. I got a few rules. These marketers don’t want to play fair. They want you to boost their artist’s work for nothing. And most times they don’t want to give you the cleared high quality mp3. They give you the tagged up streaming crap. You’ll never see any .wmv, .asx links on zs. But whatev…nobody’s got a gun to my head to post anything.
Sometimes, it just feels like they feeding the negro some chitlins again, ya dig.[ / rant] Holla at your nigglet.

This is NOT an official cover. This isn’t an official cd. I needed to get away from work and started tinkering with some stuff. It’s really a mock of the Stray Bullets cover. And since fans of Guilty Simpson have a month and some change left to wait for Ode To The Ghetto to release, I figured, I wouldn’t mind having a cover spinning around in iTunes while I listen to these tracks. I’m calling it Guilty Gears because it was easy. And I was playing Mugen as Sol Badguy (from Guilty Gear) when I came up with the idea.
If you have these tracks…you know the rest.

I think you all have the idea I’m workin’. In fact, just zip ‘em to a playa. I feel like I might get a “You got some nerve!” if I holla’d at StonesThrow for them. ha! ( JJ I’ll happily paypal you or Guilty $10 for these tracks
seriously! ).
In the meantime, you should all check out vid producer Anthony Garth (Black Milk, The White Stripes, Carrie Underwood) and Guilty Simpson get it in on RealDetroitWeekly about Guilty’s new video for “Gettin’ Bitches.”
Guilty Simpson’s - Ode To The Ghetto, drops March 25th.
The In Crowd is entirely produced by Kidz In The Hall’s Double-O and will feature some of the most relevant MC’s in the game today. Though Kidz In The Hall’s debut, School Was My Hustle, was universally hailed, Naledge and Double-O have set much loftier standards for themselves with its proper follow-up, The In Crowd, as Double-O states “fans can expect to hear a tremendous growth with The In Crowd. Our debut was a stepping stone in our movement. The In Crowd is a masterpiece and a concise reflection of our sound, as it’s a bolder and bigger sounding album made for huge shows and cigarette lighters. We have taken our experiences and our year of traveling and performing and morphed it into a true musical experience with some of the best rappers and musicians around—the true In Crowd.”
Naledge takes things a step further asserting “The In Crowd is going to solidify us as the best new group in Hip-Hop. Our new album is the re-definition of the Kidz In the Hall sound and our experimentation with artist collaboration. The first album was a lot rawer and showed our potential for greatness, but The In Crowd is our greatness coming to fruition. We went out of our way to create an album that has something for everyone and is air-tight from beginning to end. This is a definite classic for the Hip-Hop lover.”
Kidz In The Hall’s surging success has even caught the eye of Presidential Candidate Barack Obama, who has featured their hit song, “Work to Do” in his campaign effort. The song has been posted on Barack Obama’s Website as well.

I think y’all need to ween yourselves on Percee P. Perserverance was tremendously slept on. And Mallz gave him dap, so that makes him official. So I asked Stones Throw Records if I could put this up (Even though they weren’t too fond what I did with that Guilty Simpson advance). Percee P and Madlib got a remixed version of Perseverancewhich drops Jan 29 on CD & iTunes. I got a track from that as well. Shouts to JJ.
