Not bad! Another reason why Wooohah! is one of my favorite new blogs is that Yeti finds stuff like this. Although I’m interested in stats and where ZS ranks against the others, I wouldn’t actively search for this information. Well that’s not entirely true. You’ll see what I mean by that in another project that I have my hands in. But shout out to Yeti. If you want a larger image with the rest of the stats, check ‘em out at Wooohah. Also be sure to check out Yeti’s interview with Sitemeter. Also worthy of note, is that most of these sites which are considered to be the Top 40 Hip-Hop Blogs use Wordpress, Blogger, and Typepad / MT. Especially since the ranking is solely based on traffic… you’ll have to wonder where the stats are coming from. I know I get less comments than others. WAY Less. So I make up for that in the way I promote my blog. I make sure that my feed is everywhere. All of the feed readers. Some splogs steal my feed. I’m sure that counts. I crosspost on Facebook and Myspace. Every now and again, I drop a comment on some of these sites and where I do, I leave my url in my name to link back to here. Not to mention, I’m probably on some of their blogrolls. And I’m sure my Zillz Designed It tag is generating some pings as well. Some things to notice, I wouldn’t necessarily call some of these sites “Hip-Hop Blogs”. Even mine! But somewhere I know in the blogosphere, I know I listed my site as a hip-hop blog. Although, I never really considered ZS as such. Y’know. And for all of that, there are some others in the echelon who were either not counted or just didn’t participate. And guaranteed if they did involve their sites, the kid’s interest on this list would go the way of his placement on this list…downward. I see you Kapeech. She’s gonna pass the kid in a few seconds.

…hmmm after all of that, should I still care about ranking stats? I mean does it really mean anything unless you are the top dog?
