Though these following female artists fall under the same genre, their distinctive sounds are what separate them from each other. Their lyric content may be similar, seeing as how a lot of them happen to sing about the ups and downs about love (but what r&b artist doesn't?) - however, they all possess their own, unique style.

5 Women Rappers To Watch For In 2012
»TreseyB
With a new year comes many resolutions and a heap of people claiming, "This year is my year." As much as you have heard and will hear that in day-to-day life, in a way it sort of applies to music artists as well. Only, they're not the ones claiming that this year will be their year - I AM. Well, I don't want to get ahead of myself and say that these following artists will necessarily reign supreme this whole YEAR, but they will definitely be acts to look out for. This list is comprised only of female rappers.
I myself don't listen to very many female rappers at the moment because I feel like they do lack what I enjoy in any rapper. That being lyricism, delivery and basically substance.
If you lack that, then why would I want to listen to your music? I had to do a little bit of research and find not only what I found appealing to my ears, but what I think a lot of other hip hop fans will find enjoying as well.

Woody Black's Top 10 Emcees of 2011
So what it's early? I couldn't help it! 2011 has been an interesting year for emceeing. Many people believe that the art of emceeing has died back in 1995, but I say that they didn't look at these ones here who's been keeping hip-hop alive. Emcees who have been authentic, lyrical miracle spiritual individual blah blah blah swimming-pool. Y'all just wanna see the list, don't you? Well here it is.

Young Jeezy - A Hustlerz Ambition Documentary
»@zillz
The long anticipated constantly delayed Thug Motivation 103: Hustlerz Ambition from Young Jeezy will finally hit stores and other official outlets tomorrow. The innanets (of course), already got it and the reaction has been a bit mixed but still overall positive. Preceding TM:103, a few throwaway mixtapes, not really worth the download had fans skeptical of Jeezy really had it in him to provide another good street opus. But several jams have made their way off the album and the fans are hungry for more. Packaged with the release of TM:103 is the introspective, and well-made, documentary on the rise of Young Jeezy. From his beginnings in rural Georgia, to street life to rap superstar. You'll get insight from Jeezy's friends, family, bosses and peers on what makes Jay Jenkins, Jr. tick. Narrated by Samuel L. Jackson. Watch it below.

Now, how I honestly feel about the Grammys can only be described in these great words of Chuck D. However, I'm not totally against the Grammys as much as I'm apathetic towards it. In an industry where the people are force-fed garbage while presented as gourmet, I can't take some of the Grammy nominees and winners seriously in an award that supposedly awards highly prestigious music. But there are also many Grammy nominees and winners that I look forward to winning, and/or celebrate their highly-deserving accolades.
