SXSW is here and the next two weeks are going to be outrageous. March 16-20 will be packed with shows, but don't worry because the 54 Reality Show will bring you all of the best coverage brought to you by www.flawlesshustle.com & www.zillasays.com. This weeks episode is no slouch either so lets get started.
First, we travel to Austin to catch Doc Deuce and his live band at The Dirty Dog bar. That same night we headed over to Scoot Inn to check out the homies Poise & 2020 with DJ Freakin Puerto Rican at the Kick It event. We ended the weekend at the Mohawk checking out the Soliliquist of Sound presented by www.AustinSurreal.com. Stay tuned, thought, additional show and interview footage from S.O.S. will be added shortly. There were performances by DJ Jazz1, DJ Chicken George, and Kydd. If you pay attention you might get another sneak peak of a track from the soon-to-be-released Channel 54: The Reality Show Tape.
If you're going to be at SXSW contact us via Twitter & Facebook and we'll hook up and check out some music.

It's goin' diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine.
Music: Akshun - Sinner's Therapy
Akshun of Magnum Opus dropped this new album, Sinner's Therapy and if you like hip-hop, it's going to be impossible for you to not like this. Akshun gives you a refreshingly honest view of life without dumbing down the lyrics and imagery. Instrumental stylings are provided by Encore, JahFree, Midi Marc, Absoul and JackDollars, CAP, D Gents, Diheim, Swan Dito, and N1lla. Cajwell is the only feature on the album.
This has been a Real Nigga PSA!

Video: Diggy Simmons - "Made You Look" freestyle
Diggy Simmons channels a young Nas over a "Made You Look" loop. The young man has skills. If you're denying that, then you're lying, black. Still, once the lil' man starts cursing and dropping "n" bombs, I get tunnel vision and want to question my own hypocrisies. Because when I see these young dudes out here in my neighborhood cursing and what not, I wanna snatch a whippersnapper by his collar and drag him while I'm driving!
However it looks like this Young Simmons wants to establish that even though he's legally a child to not treat his lyrical prowess (is it too early to say he has lyrical prowess in 2010?) that of a child (you see how y'all treated Bow Wow since he's grown up...fans ain't shit!). Some rappers my age should be ashamed. If I read XXL anymore, I'd say XXL Freshman Class shoulda swapped OJ Da Juiceman for Diggy though...for real. Aye!
